Owl Be Watching Wednesday

I typically hate trends, but one trend that I've been unable to resist (excluding GLEE) is owls. I <3 owls. Seriously, love them, and this week one of my best buddies gave me an owl necklace (thanks, Whitney) and inspired me to start my Owl Be Watching Wednesday series, because who doesn't love a good series? Plus a series with owls? It's like double-goodness.

Everywhere I go I see owls. They may be taking over the world, but don't be alarmed. Owls are shamelessly cute but otherwise harmless.

For Owl Be Watching Wednesday, I will be posting an owl picture and quote (some of the quotes are gonna need dissecting and analysis...a search for owl quotes brought up some deep stuff) for your owlish enjoyment.

"He respects Owl, because you can't help respecting anybody who can spell Tuesday, even if he doesn't spell it right." A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh

  1. I love a Winnie the Pooh quote! I also love owls, and am quite glad to see a trend of them! I first loved owls because at my neighbor's vet hospital, there was a tiny owl (I don't know what kind..) but she was injured, and lived there in a little cage in the middle of everything checking the place out. She was just cute and precious! Owl be watching for more owls!

  6. My grandmother loved owls. She had them all over her little house. I took some when she died because I have a thing for owls too. During the recent (hell) school vacation, we went to see a animal rehabilitator speak. He pulled a great horned owl from a cage. I was breathless. They are so beautiful. He had another little owl, can't remember the species now, but I wanted to steal her.
    sigh
now I'm sitting here thinking about lovely owls. :)

  8. I LOVE that necklace! I'm going to have to look for one for my daughter. She started with the owl thing last year, and I can't say I mind. I love the little birds myself. I have to say... it's hard to remember collecting owls is HER thing- not mine!

Stopping by from the Comment Love blog hop. I hope you have a TIGGER-IFIC week!
